Kathmandu (Nepal) - "Pikey Peak Trail Explorer (April)". Join us on an outstanding trail running journey as we venture into the Himalayas in search of some of the best views of Mount Everest. Considered as one of the most beautiful off-the-beaten routes in the Himalayas, we take advantage of running on a lower-altitude trail which allows us to travel more comfortably without feeling the effects of rising altitude. Our trail run travels through lush forests, ancient Sherpa villages and, meadows, with the crux of the adventure being the summit of Pikey Peak (4,065m) as we watch the sunrise over Mount Everest and other mountain wonders. Add to that beautiful boutique accommodation in Kathmandu, cosy tea houses, delicious Nepali cuisine and some of the best scenery found else on the planet and we think we have found a trail running trip that will knock your socks off. www.pure-trails.com/trail-running-himalaya

Kathmandu (Nepal) - "The Great Himalayan Route". Join us on this extraordinary trail running expedition around one of the highest mountains on the planet - Mt Manaslu. On our fully serviced small group expedition, we set out to trail run the Manaslu Circuit – the eighth highest mountain in the world. Running with only a light pack, all gear and equipment is carried by mules each leg of the way. Our journey begins at 700m with a variety of terrain along the way which has everything from great canyons and lush forests that characterise the entry valleys. It doesn’t take long for us to sight the first snow-capped peaks, as we run through ancient villages and over the high mountain pass of the Larkya-La (5,160m). We plan our expedition carefully to allow for the gradual acclimatisation to the Himalayan altitudes, but the efforts are richly rewarded with some of the best mountain scenery found anywhere else on the world. www.pure-trails.com/tour-du-manaslu-the-great-himalayan-route
