Melgarejo, Guairá (Paraguay) - "Ultra-Trail Guarani (UTG)". Ultra-Trail® Guaraní is a non-stop race and nature trails linking the four main paths within the National Park of Ybyturuzú (red trail, trail yellow, orange and blue trail path) of individual participation and has distances for all profiles of athletes, from beginners to trail running and middle distance runners to experienced ultramarathoners over long distances and slopes. Ultra-Trail® Guaraní is synonymous of a majestic nature. The impressive Ybyturuzú Hills (in spanish) or Yvytyrusu (in guarani) is constituted by a series of hills lying between Guaira and Caazapá departments of the Republic of Paraguay. Today is one of the main areas of conservation eastern region and is home to both the highest peak (Tres Kandú Hill, 842 m) as one of the jumps higher water, the Salto Suizo, 40 meters high. Distances are: 10, 22, 50 and 100 kilometers. The start line for all distances will be the town square of the City of Melgarejo, in the district of Independencia in the department of Guaira 27 kilometers from the capital Villarrica and 175 kilometers from Asunción - Paraguay. The event will be held on Saturday, October 10 and 11, 2020. | [Spanish] Una carrera individual y non-stop, en plena naturaleza, por caminos y sendas que unen los cuatro senderos principales dentro de la Reserva de Recursos Manejados del Ybytyruzú (sendero rojo, sendero amarillo, sendero naranja y el sendero azul), que cuenta con distancias para todos los perfiles de atletas: desde debutantes en trail running y corredores de media distancia hasta ultramaratonistas experimentados en largas distancias y desniveles. La impresionante Cordillera del Yvytyrusu está constituida por una serie de serranías situadas entre los departamentos del Guairá y Caazapá de la República del Paraguay. Actualmente es una de las principales áreas de conservación de la región oriental del país y alberga tanto el pico más alto (Cerro Tres Kandú con 842 msnm) como también uno de los saltos de agua más elevados, el Salto Suizo, de 40 metros de altura.
