Fayetteville, Arkansas (United States of America) - "Frozen Toes 5K & 15K". 2024 will bring the 9th annual Frozen Toes Trail Race to Kessler Mountain. The race features 5K and 15K options. The single-track trails of Kessler Mountain are technical in most areas, but the views are worth every step. This cold weather run is followed by hot soup! In addition to Male/Female Overall Finisher and Age Group awards, all participants will have a chance to win other prizes. Magnolia, Arkansas (United States of America) - "Farm Road Challenge". Our cause: Carley Rains is a former student-athlete at SAU. As a former athlete with a disability, she understands the adversity that it takes to overcome being a student-athlete with a disability. This inspired her to start the Overcoming Adversity Scholarship upon graduating. The Farm Road Challenge is a 5K and half-mile kids' fun run on the SAU Campus & Farm Road to raise money for the scholarship. The Overcoming Adversity Scholarship is a scholarship for athletes with disabilities at Southern Arkansas University. Sign up by Saturday, February 24th to guarantee your T-Shirt size. The price increase will take place on January 1st and March 1st increase $5 at a time for the 5K and $2 at a time for the half-mile kids run. 5K - $25, Jan 1st $30, Mar 1st $35. Half Mile Kids Run - $10, Jan 1st $12, Mar 1st $14. The Start/Finish and Packet Pickup will be located at the Southern Arkansas University Alumni Center. (Race day registration will be available.) We will have donuts, bananas, and water available at the event. 7-9am Packet Pickup, 8am 5K Starts, 8:45am Awards, 9:15am Kids Half-Mile Starts. Briston and Carley Rains are the Directors of the Farm Road Challenge. Briston's running event company, Texas Outlaw Running Company, will be the sponsor of the event supplying race supplies and logistics. In addition, Briston and Carley have partnered with Southern Arkansas University to host this event. All finishers will receive a Farm Road Challenge finisher medal. 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall Male & Female will receive an award. 1st place Age Groups Male & Female; 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+. 1st Overall Boy & Girl will receive an award for the Half Mile Kids Run. www.runsignup.com/Race/AR/Magnolia/FarmRoadChallenge
