Carrollton, Georgia (United States of America) - "Carrollton Half Marathon". The inaugural Carrollton Half Marathon presented by Tanner Health System will take place on September 7, 2019. The 13.1 mile course will take you from Carrollton's Historic Adamson Square, through city proper and nearly 9 smooth miles over shaded, rolling hills on the city's new multi-use bike/running path, the GreenBelt. The beautiful route ends back at Adamson Square for a finish line festival not to be missed, featuring live music, local food vendors, and beer from local craft breweries. Register individually to take on the race or be a part of a 2, 3, or 4 person relay team! This course makes a great event for first timers, those looking for a half marathon personal best, or an end-of-summer tune up for fall marathon season. Atlanta, Georgia (United States of America) - "Jeff Galloway Half Marathon". The Jeff Galloway Half Marathon (December 15) winds you through Midtown and takes you to some of Atlanta's famous landmarks. An enjoyable course that finishes in historic Piedmont Park. Pacers are provided and participants receive a long sleeve technical shirt and an awesome medal. Jeff Galloway greets all finishers and the photos are free! Walker Friendly - The course will be open for 4:30 hours or until the last participant passes. If participants are maintaining a slower than 20:36 minute per mile pace, they will be asked to move to the sidewalk between miles 7.25 (10:27 AM) and 8.25 (10:48 AM). After mile 8.25, participants can move back onto the road and will have a lane all the way until mile 11, when they enter Piedmont Park where there is no vehicular traffic. Barb's 5K is on Saturday the 14th and if you run both races, you qualify for the Double G medal. www.jeffgalloway131.com
