The Riverwalk Run Series offers three opportunities, all in McCaysville, Georgia and crossing into Copperhill, Tennessee. Join us Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 6:30pm for Walk the Line 5K. After the 5K, enjoy the shopping and dining at Riverwalk Shops or stick around for free, LIVE music at TOONEYS starting at 7pm. But whatever you do, don't miss the area's BIGGEST FIREWORKS beginning when the sun goes down at 9pm!!! Covering 3.1 miles, the course takes runners through the charming downtowns of both McCaysville and Copperhill, across the city’s iconic steel bridge - one of only a few left in America - concluding alongside the famous Toccoa River. The series was created by the McCaysville Business Association, a non-profit organization, to further the goal of fostering economic, cultural and social growth within the community. Drive up for the day or spend a weekend with family and friends in one of the area's hundreds of scenic cabins. Located just a few miles north of Blue Ridge, Georgia, the region offers plenty of activates that include live music, rafting, craft beer breweries, hiking, fly fishing, and more! Atlanta, Georgia (United States of America) - "5K Stroller Roll". The 5K Stroller Roll is a 3.1-mile race for ALL runners and walkers and those wishing to participate while pushing a baby jogger, a baby stroller, wagon, tricycle, power wheels, or any other type of wheels. (No special stroller needed or required!) Expecting mothers, supporting dads, grandmothers, and grandfathers are all invited to participate in the race. It Starts With Me 2, is a nonprofit organization that continues to encourage Healthy Living for the entire family. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve through education, nutrition, and physical fitness. Each participant will receive a T-shirt, and a race medal (for the first 100 participants). We highly encourage you to decorate your stroller and dress your kid in their favorite costumes. Awards will be given to the best-decorated stroller along with other awards. Registration fee for children that are riding in a stroller are free with a paid adult fee.
