Dacula, Georgia (United States of America) - "Thriller Lake Endurance Run". The Thriller Lake Endurance Run is a 6 and 3 hour timed loop event on the 2.2 mile loop around Miller Lake at Little Mulberry park in Gwinnett County, GA. We will also host a Trick or Treat style Fun Run in conjunction with this event, allowing participants to complete a single 2.2 mile loop with trick OR treat stations setup along the course. We're happy to announce that we will have Hoka and Caterpy on-board as sponsors for the inaugural running of Thriller Lake. Top prizes for the timed events will be provided by Hoka! Time: 6 Hour race starts at 4 PM | 3 Hour race starts at 5 PM | Trick or Treat Fun Run starts at 6 PM | Check-in and race-day registration for all events will open at 2 PM. Location: Little Mulberry park Hog Mountain Entrance - Start/Finish area will be down by the lake. Parking: 3900 Hog Mountain Rd NE, Dacula, GA 30548. Packet Pickup will be available on-site, as well as event day registration. The timed races will have a staggered start, allowing all the runners to experience the dusk/dark and the eerie feeling that comes with it. Headlamps will be required! The course is a 2.2 mile paved path following the perimeter of the lake, while also winding through the surrounding woods and Karina Miller nature preserve. There is roughly 70' of gain and loss per loop. The start/finish area will have typical aid station fare and water provided as well as plenty of space to set up your own personal aid-stop if you choose to do so. We will also have a water stop at the halfway point of the course. Please note that the park will be open to the public during this event, so please be respectful of others using the path and follow all of the recommended shared trail behavior protocols (ie. pass on left, announce yourself, don't drop trash anywhere other than a designated receptacle!) Please also be aware that the Trick or Treat fun run will start at 6PM and there may be an initial blob of runners/walkers and children starting out, but should thin out quickly. The Trick or Treat fun run is for kids and adults of all ages looking for a trick or treat experience in a fun, safe, and positive community setting. Participants will complete one loop of the Miller Lake trail with plenty of opportunities to experience the magic of Halloween. Costumes are highly encouraged, practically required! We will have several trick or treat stations along the course stationed with costumed volunteers and most importantly, candy! And don't worry, you don't have to run, but as night falls, things may only get stranger... Seriously though, the Fun Run will start at 6PM, just as the sun starts to set, a.k.a. dusk. Most walkers can complete this loop easily under an hour and should be done before full dark (7:30PM). We still encourage guests to bring a flashlight, headlamp, old-timey oil lantern, or a lit torch if you're concerned about the dark. Ok, maybe not a real torch, but you get the point. Strollers are allowed but we will have to discourage any type of bicycles, scooters, or motorized devices unless medically necessary as there will be other runners on the course as well as the general public. Please remember to always be aware of others using the trail and keep to the right when others need to pass. The fun run will not be timed. Instead, every participant will get a glow-in-the-dark wrist band when you check in, so that our volunteers will know who is participating in the event. We'll also have a special treat bag available for the kids, or they can bring their own! Costume contest: The top three best costumes (as judged by the Summit Pro Racing Team) will get a special prize. Top 3 overall male and female finishers in the timed races (most laps completed) will receive a custom award among other prizes and all the glory and notoriety that comes from a podium finish. In addition to the overall top 3 runners, we will have an extra special award for anyone who can complete a total of 10 laps in the 3 hour event, or 20 laps in the 6 hour. That's 22 and 44 miles respectively. This is event is rain or shine, however, if there is inclement weather we will follow the guidance of the county and park system to keep everyone safe, even if it means postponing or cancelling the event. www.ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=93138

Ringgold, Georgia (United States of America) - "Circle 60". Welcome to the inaugural Circle 60 race hosted by Parity Path, LLC, held at the Ringgold Highschool Track on December 3, 2022. The Circle 60 is brought to you by the MAD Backyard Ultra and Locomotion Endurance event race directors. The Chattanooga Track Club will conduct the timing of this event. The race starts at 8 AM Eastern. Unlike a set mileage, this is a chipped timed event that will be officially over when the air-horn goes off at 60 minutes. Everyone will start at once. Walkers and slower runners are limited to the two outside lanes; the faster runners will stay in the inside lanes. Each full lap (one-quarter mile) gets counted and will be treated as a one-quarter mile. If you have not completed a full lap at 60 minutes when the air horn goes off, that lap will not count. Awards are handed to the overall top three males and the top three females, top male and female masters, top male and female grandmasters, and the top runner in each age group (10-year increments) who have completed the most laps in the least amount of time before the clock stops at 60 minutes and the air horn goes off. Part of the race proceeds will benefit the Ringgold High School Athletic Department. www.facebook.com/paritypath
