Wilmington, North Carolina (United States of America) - "Wilmington Historic Half & 5K". The 6th Annual Wilmington Historic Half Marathon and 5K will take place on Saturday December 2nc, 2023. Starting in the heart of downtown, runners will take a beautiful closed course through the streets as they see the true southern beauty in Historic Wilmington North Carolina. After 2.5 miles of downtown running, the 5K splits off to the boardwalk to finish while the half marathon will continue straight over 3 bridges and around a scenic lake before finishing down one of the nation's top-rated boardwalks! Packet Pick-Up: We will host an in-person expo & packet pickup on Friday 12/1. Start Times: 7:00am 5K; 7:45am Half Marathon (No Late Starts). Parking: There are over 10,000 public parking spots in Downtown Wilmington. (Don't park along the race route or if there is a covered meter or sign.) Start Line: The start line will be located in the new Riverfront Park (10 Cowan St, Wilmington, NC 28401). Finish Line: Our Finish Line and After Party will be hosted at the Riverfront Park as well. The after-party includes both Beer & BBQ (you will have voucher tabs on your bib for these). Additional beverages (Beer) will be available for purchase. Beverage sales and the after-party will be over at 11:30. Awards: We will offer awards for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Overall Male/Female; 1st, 2nd & 3rd Masters Male/Female for both the 5K and Half Marathon as well as the top 3 in age groups using 5 year age brackets. Course Information: Both courses are certified and sanctioned. The time limit for the 5K is 90 minutes and 3.5 hours for the Half Marathon. If you are interested in completing the Historic Challenge you must be able to complete your 5K in 55 minutes or less and make your way back to the Starting Line by 8:00am. (There will be NO late starts for the Half Marathon). No Dogs are allowed at this event or on course. No one without a bib is allowed on the course at any time. No dogs, companion bikes, scooters, rollerblades or motorbikes are allowed on course. The race is set for Saturday, December 2nd at the Riveter in South Asheville, NC! Ugly Sweaters and holiday cheer are strongly encouraged! Kings Mountain, North Carolina (United States of America) - "Beast of the East 100". We will be running the entire trail system of Crowders Mountain. Both mountain peaks will be summitted. You get a nice beautiful view of the lake too. This race is more than a race, it is a celebration of one of the most iconic trail systems right here in the Charlotte area. To finish the 100 miler, there is a 32 hour time limit. For the 50 mile it will be a 18 hour cut off. For the 25 miler it will have a 10 hour cut off.
