Rocksprings, Texas (United States of America) - "J&J Race and Trail Running Reunion". Previously known as "Nueces Trail Run", this race has been renamed to the "J&J Race and Trail Running Reunion" as a way to say "thanks" to Joe and Joyce Prusaitis. In return for what they have offered so many people who now call themselves a "trail runner", we are hosting this annual event to endlessly thank them for all their blood, sweat and tears they have poured into this rugged sport we have all fallen in love with. We will have 4 Mi., 10K, 25K, 50K, 50M, and 100K races, and while people are crossing the finish line, we will have the biggest party of elite trail runners, rookie trail runners, seasoned trail runners, hikers, and all of our crews, friends, families, and new friends hanging out at one of the coolest venues in the nation. Your registration also gets you a free ride on the 75 foot free fall super swing! Check out Camp Eagle to see all the cool stuff you can do around your race. Plan on staying the entire weekend for this event. It's truly one you don't want to miss! www.tejastrails.com/jandj

Fort Davis, Texas (United States of America) - "The Southwest 100". Nestled in the historic Davis Mountains, this race starts on the legendary San Antonio-El Paso Road in the heart of Fort Davis National Historic Site. This remote outpost in the 1800s was set up by the U.S. Army as a refuge for travelers making the 600 mile journey by horse or wagon train through hostile Indian country. It was also home to the famous Buffalo Soldiers. From Fort Davis racers will climb through rocky single track further into the Davis Mountains as they enter Davis Mountains State Park. As vast panoramas open up, racers will take in the thin mountain air at over a mile high. For those racers that go into the night, you will gaze at the same wide open sky studied by the nearby McDonald Observatory. If you are looking for an iconic race with breathtaking views coupled with rich history, then this is the race for you. www.ultraexpeditions.com/run

We will miss you Santo, but don't worry we will keep your wheels turning, so get funky, get creative and show us your artistic talent as we party and revel in the art of running and drinking beer! Saint Arnold's Art Car IPA debuted in August 2015 and was inspired by a fleet of hand painted Art Cars which were created by local artists for the brewery and the label artwork was designed by renowned Houston graffiti artist Gonzo247, who has painted four Saint Arnold Art Cars. This hip-hop inspired artist perfectly created a brand worthy of a run that will have you running, sipping and then getting groovy on the dance floor at the post race rave (we mean party!). www.artcar5k.com
