This year's 16th Newton Heartbreak Hill International Youth Race is dedicated to Johnny Kelley. Known as Mr. Marathon, he was present at the unveiling of the now famous Johnny Kelley "Young at Heart" statue which is located at the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Walnut Street. He also hosted our first race and stated that as the song says, "Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart." He is an inspiration to all of us and we take great pleasure in honoring him in this way.
