Inaugural event, held on Mount Desert Island home to Acadia National Park. Passes ocean, mountains, lakes and dense forests at peak fall foliage. Point to point course passes thru quaint fishing villages and towns including the only fijord, Somes Sound in the Eastern United States. Begins in Bar Harbor with world class accomodations. Ends in charming Southwest Harbor with its nearby fleet of lobster fishing boats and friendly Main Street.
