Come vacation and race in one of California's most beautiful resort communities. Be apart of the first ever Big Bear Marathon. Big Bear sits in the mountains just 2 hours east of Los Angeles and San Diego. Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains. Enjoy the fresh air, community, and entertainment all weekend long! Race is limited to the first 5,000 participants. There will be prizes and cash to top finishers! Big Bear Marathon has partnered with the City of Big Bear to provide and bring a premier marathon to one of the most beautiful places in all of Southern California. No race day Registration. You can register at the expo, Friday the day before the race. All packet pickup must be done prior to the race at the expo. Prizes and Cash for top finishers minimum $10,000 value. Prizes and cash for top finishers will be for the marathon and half marathon to top 5 finishers. There will also be prizes and medals for the 5K and kids 1K fun run. Big Bear sits just 2 hours east of Los Angeles and San Diego. Nestled in the San Bernardino Mountains, home of Ryan Hall, America's best marathoner. This will truly be one of the most scenic courses you could ever do. The roads will be closed for the athletes. The course goes around the Lake clockwise, starting and finishing at the downtown village. The course runs along the lake and through the communities of Big Bear towards the golf course. With slight rolling hills, this is actually a relatively flat course. Charities: YMCA, Rebuilding MTN Hearts and Lives, Family Network, PossAbilities.
