The CHELANMAN MULTISPORT WEEKEND (July 19-20) takes advantage of the natural beauty of the area. The swims take place in the clear waters of Lake Chelan. The run and bike are along Lake Chelan. The weekend includes a first timer triathlon, a sprint, olympic and half iron triathlons and 10K and Half marathon runs. ChelanMan Half Iron Triathlon is one of 18 direct qualifiers for 2007 USAT HalfMax national championships. All events celebrate athletes of all abilities. The ChelanMan Multisport Weekend is a project of Chelan Multisport Group -- Chelan area community volunteers dedicated to raising funds and creating events that promote healthy and active lifestyles for Chelan area children and residents. A portion of the race fees will go to The Chelan Multisport Group Foundation. The event weekend is being produced by Total Health Events, LLC in partnership with the Chelan Multi-Sport Group. Total Health Events has produced international triathlon championships such as Tri Without Borders and the Grand Columbian, as well as numerous running and multisport events focused on first time and age-group athletes. Race Directors Jon and Lynne Hoskins are "USAT Certified Race Directors".
