12K’s of Christmas®, a new Christmas event to be held at the Town of Gilbert’s Freestone District Park on Saturday December 12th.
This unique family festival celebrating health, fitness and the joy of Christmas will feature a 1.2K Santa “Sled Run”. Wear Santa Hats, dress up the kids as Elves, put costumes on your pets, and decorate your Bikes, Wagons and Strollers. There will be prizes for the Best Decorated Entry, Cutest Pet Entry and Christmas Spirit Awards sponsored by local businesses.
Team entries are just $30 (for 4 people; additional team members just $5).
For the older “kids” there will be a chip-timed 12K run, where participants will race in a “Sea of Santas” with Santa Hats for each runner and Caroling groups at every K. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes, plus a prize for the best “Christmas-themed” running outfit and collectible finishers pins for all.
