All runners are encouraged to bring a can good to fill local food banks as well! Registration Closing Date: Sunday, November 14, 2010 @ 6:00 PM. Packet pickup and race day registration begin at 5:30 am CST at the start/finish area and end at 6:45 CST. Also, packets may be picked up Friday, November 19 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Troy Health and Fitness (located at 105 Pecan Street). Fees: Half Marathon – Pre-registered $45 Late $60 10K – Pre-registered $25 Late $35 You may register online or by mailing in your entry fee and form. Pre-registration will end November 14th at 6 p.m. online, and mail-in registrants should be post marked by November 12th or will be considered late. Late entries not guaranteed shirt or medal. Participants will receive various gifts including medals (half marathon finishers), tech and cotton t-shirts (half marathon and 10k respectively), prizes, a raffle entry, and a fun post-race party in the stadium tower complete with food, refreshments, beer, and music. Also, awards will be given out including cash prizes and trophies. Late entries not guaranteed shirt or medal. Awards: $100.00 cash prize for overall male and female half marathon finisher; Trophies for top 3 male and female finishers for both races; Trophies for top male and female master and grandmaster finishers for half marathon; Male and female age group awards 2 deep in 10 year increments for both races. Course: Fast paced gently rolling hills. 13.1 mile and 6.2 mile courses that traverses throughout Troy Alabama and Troy University. Both courses start in front of Movie Gallery stadium and ending on the 50 yard line with multiple water and motivation stations along the course. Proceeds from both races will be divided 50/50 between the Pike County Animal Shelter and local Food Pantries. In addition, if you would like to bring non-perishable food items to donate they will be much appreciated.
