Fairplay, Colorado (United States of America) - "World Championship Pack Burro Race". The first year of the World Championship Pack Burro Race in 1949 saw 21 entrants with only 8 finishing the race. These days there are nearly 100 racers and burros that take on this historic challenge. Some choose the "lower altitude" short course of approximately 15 miles while others take on the long course and attempt the grueling climb to the top of Mosquito Pass and back, 29+ miles and an elevation change of 3,232 feet! Greeley, Colorado (United States of America) - "NoCo Urban Ultra and Relay". Join us for the inaugural running of this event featuring a 50 Mile Solo Race, 100 Mile Solo Race, 50 Mile Relay Race, and 100 Mile Relay Race. While ultra distances can be daunting, this race is an ideal option for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. With a fully supported course, first-rate aid stations, and abundant exchange zones, this truly epic journey makes for an unforgettable running experience. The 50-mile race is a point-to-point run starting in Bellvue on Saturday morning, with runners traveling through Fort Collins, Timnath, and Windsor to complete their journey in Greeley. The 100-mile race is an out-and-back run starting in Greeley on Friday afternoon, with runners traveling through Windsor, Timnath, and Fort Collins to Bellvue (the northernmost tip of the Poudre River Trail) before turning back. Both races finish together on Saturday afternoon. Our post-race party awaits all finishers in Greeley with food, snacks, drinks, multiple cold plunges, massages, and recovery areas.
