Alex’s 5K and Kids' K Run is a fun, family friendly event with a purpose. 100% of the net race profits will go to our designated autism based charities. We also offer a virtual option for those who wish to participate with the same purpose and enthusiasm from afar. Please join us in running to raise funds for autism charities in our community! Alex’s 5K is a fun, family friendly event that honors the life of Alex Jamrich by promoting autism awareness and raising money for research and services. Alex was autistic and passed away in 2010 at the age of 17. Lara Allen and the Bayou City Road Runners (BCRR) started the race in 2011.
