Santa Monica, California (United States of America) - "Santa Monica Classic". Join thousands of participants for the Santa Monica Classic on September 13, 2026, the perfect end-of-summer race for runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages and abilities! Participants of all experience levels can enjoy a variety of scenic courses, including a 10K, 5K, and Kids Run. With the 2025 event selling out ahead of race day, race organizers highly encourage those interested in taking part in the 2026 event to register early. Interested runners can also join Team TMF to fundraise for the event's producer, The McCourt Foundation (TMF). TMF's mission is to cure neurological diseases and promote community wellness. 5K and 10K Team TMF participants can fundraise or donate $150 for free entry and exclusive perks on race day. The event will also feature a Kids Run, making it an event fit for the whole family! The Santa Monica Classic Kids Run will take kids ages three to eight on a ½ km route. This Kids Run is a part of the Kids Run LA Challenge, which also includes the Rose Bowl Kids Run and LA Kids Run. Kids who complete all three fun runs will be awarded a Kids Run LA Challenge medal to celebrate their accomplishments. The Santa Monica Classic is the first event in the three-race Conquer LA Challenge. The local challenge begins with the Santa Monica Classic in September, followed by the Rose Bowl Half Marathon and 5K in January and wraps up with the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon in March. Those who complete the challenge will receive a medal for each completed race, as well as the Conquer LA Challenge medal. The 5K is a part of the Triple 5K Tour of LA, which starts with the Santa Monica Classic 5K, followed by the Rose Bowl 5K, and wraps up with the LA 5K. Participants earn four medals in total - one for each of them and then a special challenge medal after finishing the LA 5K! All times and locations are subject to change. Brookings, South Dakota (United States of America) - "Jack 15 Road Race". Be part of the history of Jack 15. For 63 years, runners have been making an annual trek from White, S.D., to Brookings, S.D., making it the oldest road race in the Midwest. The 64th running of the 15.2-mile course from Hooker and Main in White to the Campanile in Brookings via county roads is Sept. 19. Prize money is offered for the top three male and female placers — $200 for first, $100 for second and $50 for third. All entries will receive a lightweight, long-sleeve black hoodie and all finishers of the 15.2-mile run will receive a medal.
