Beulah, Colorado (United States of America) - "Beulah Challenge". Race Start Times: 1/2 Marathon 8:00am, 10K 9:00am, 5K 9:15am. The Beulah Challenge, which started in 1996, is a 5K, 10K, and half-marathon run near Beulah, a small southern Colorado community located in the spectacular Beulah Valley nestled in the Wet Mountains. The 5K and 10K courses take you around the scenic gravel and paved roads of Beulah. The half-marathon course runs through the Beulah Valley and the iconic Pueblo Mountain Park on hiking trails. Run the Beulah Challenge and enjoy fresh mountain air in this beautiful historic area! Runners 17 years old and younger may register for the 5K or 10K at the discounted price of $15. Half-marathoners may want to consider running the Over It SOCO Race Series, which consists of the Beulah Challenge half-marathon and the Rim to Rim Royal Gorge half-marathon. Click here for more information. Half Marathon Time Limit: 3 1/2 Hours. Runners, joggers and walkers are all welcomed to participate. We applaud all those who set out to complete the Half Marathon distance, regardless of the pace. The race is permitted through the town of Beulah and we use officers from the Sate of Colorado Police Department to monitor traffic along Pine Lane (highway 78) to keep the runners safe. This is a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile for the half marathon. For your own safety, we strongly discourage you from participating in this event if you cannot maintain a pace of 16:00 minutes per mile as all course support shuts down based on this pace. If participants choose to continue running after the time limit, they do so at their own risk and, while on any roadway, will move to the left side facing oncoming traffic and obey all traffic laws along the course. Finisher medallions will be awarded only to those who finish within the official time span. www.runsignup.com/Race/Info/CO/Beulah/BeulahChallenge

La Veta, Colorado (United States of America) - "Wild Wahatoya Runs". Come join us to run through a magical part of history in the Cuchara Valley. The Spanish Peaks of Southern Colorado have been among the most important landmarks of the southwestern United States, guiding Native American tribes, Spanish and French trappers, gold seekers, hunters, and American settlers. The Ute, Comanche, Apache, and other, earlier Native American tribes held the peaks in religious awe and named the mountains Wahatoya, meaning “Breasts of the Earth.” Our event will be pairing with both the town of La Veta and Cuchara to help them celebrate their annual October Fest. We will have a 50K, heavy half marathon, and 8ish mile event. The 50K will start in the town of La Veta, wrap itself through the middle of the town, onto a rugged out-of-commission county road with sweeping views of the dikes, buttes, and mountains in the surrounding areas. You will end on newly reopened and maintained trails that guide you straight into town ending with a festival at the Cuchara Yacht Club. The heavy half and 8 mile will start on private property, take on the Dike trail and some other local favorites, to end back under the arch at the Yacht Club to join the party. We will be partnering with the local brewer to provide finish line beers, and other local businesses to provide five-star accommodations, live music from local talent, and great food. All course profiles and GPX files are released on the race website! www.trailtrashadventures.com/races/event-one-gzzml

Winter Park, Colorado (United States of America) - "The Elevation Everest Race". The Elevation Everest Race is an endurance event held at Winter Park Resort in Colorado, focusing on elevation gain rather than distance. The goal is to accumulate either half or the full elevation of Mt. Everest. Participants can race solo or form a relay team with friends to divide the total elevation gain.
