Belle Isle, Florida (United States of America) - "Hearts Against Hunger 5K". Hearts Against Hunger 5K – you don't have to run fast to stop hunger! Walk, stroll, or run through the lovely streets of Belle Isle, just outside of Orlando. There are so many ways to get in on the fun and, at the same time, join us in our fight against hunger. Servant's Heart Ministry is a local non-profit organization that delivers healthy food right to the homes of those experiencing food insecurity. Through these deliveries, we build meaningful relationships and offer hope during challenging times. The need continues to grow, so put on your running shoes and help us nourish the most vulnerable in Central Florida. All donations and entry fees are tax deductible. How will you choose to support Servant's Heart Ministry at our 5K? You can participate in the Hearts Against Hunger 5K in person on Saturday, May 10, 2025, in Belle Isle, Florida (Orlando area). Check-in and registration begin at 7:00 a.m., with an 8:00 a.m. start time and a 10:00 a.m. end time. Our course is carefully measured and operated by a professional race manager, making it popular for competitive runners, but runners or walkers of all ages are encouraged to join. We also welcome wheelchairs, strollers, and dogs (on a leash and at the end of the pack). Every adult race registration provides two weeks of groceries for a family or individual suffering food insecurity. A child’s registration of $15 ensures a month of groceries for a child. To multiply your contribution, set up your own fundraising page or create a team. You can also participate in the Hearts Against Hunger Virtual 5K anywhere and anytime before Saturday, May 10, 2025. If the date or location of our 5K event in Belle Isle prevents your participation in person, this event is perfect for you—create your own course and run at your convenience. The same support applies: adult registrations provide two weeks of groceries, and child registrations provide one month for a child. If you'd prefer not to run, you can still make a difference by donating. Join the race from the comfort of your easy chair by clicking the donate button at the top of the page, where you’ll have the option to give to an individual or team fundraiser, donate as an individual, or become a corporate sponsor. To increase your impact, consider becoming an individual fundraiser by registering as a runner, then visiting the "Become a Fundraiser" page, creating a fundraising name and goal, customizing your URL, adding a picture, and sharing it on social media using #HungerAwareness5K and tagging @ServantsHeartMn. You can also create a team fundraiser by recruiting family, friends, co-workers, or church groups. You’ll be prompted to create a team during registration, or if already registered, follow the provided link for instructions. Choose a unique team name, customize your team URL, personalize the page with images, and share it to recruit members. www.servantsheartministry.org/race
