Milford, Michigan (United States of America) - "The Bull Run - Milford". This is the Seventh annual Bull Run for ALS of Michigan held at Kensington Park in Milford, Michigan. The Bull Run 5K is a chip timed accurate 5k run/walk. The Calf Mile is FREE for kids 10yrs and under. All proceeds go to ALS of Michigan to help our pALS (people with ALS) here in Michigan. There is a lot of symbolism in The Bull Run. First the name, my dad, Kenneth C. VanBlaricum passed from ALS in Feb. 2010 and early in his life he worked in excavating, his nickname was Bull . The Bull Run is named in honor of my father. Second, the finishers medal is a dog tag honoring the time he served in the National Guard out of the Howell Armory and was called into active duty during the 1967 riots in Detroit. The start/finish line is on the ball diamond. You will run by first base, which is the position played by Lou Gehrig, and as you finish the race you cross home plate scoring a home run for our pALS(people with ALS) here in Michigan. This run continues to be a dream come true to honor my father. Thank you for being a part of it. www.thebullrun.org

Petoskey, Michigan (United States of America) - "Wolverine State 100". Trivium Racing has been dreaming of producing this epic event for years, and we're thrilled to finally unveil our exciting new race plan. This event will feature a 100-Mile, 100-Kilometer, and 50-Kilometer Ultra, as well as a relay option for the 100-Mile. The highlight of this course will be crossing the top of Michigan's lower penninsula from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron. The 100-Mile course will be point-to-point, beginning in Petoskey and concluding in Alpena. The 100k course will also be a point to point race finishing in Alpena. Our 50K race will feature an out and back course from Alpena that will have very manageable cutoffs and great running surfaces! Athletes will navigate a variety of terrain, including single-track trails, gravel roads, limestone paths, and seasonal roads. While no 100-mile race is ever easy (and we know you wouldn't want it to be), our goal is to make this event as approachable as possible for first-timers while still delivering a rewarding experience for seasoned vets. Special awards will be given to those finishing the 100-mile race in under 24 hours, and we'll also have a generous cutoff time to encourage more participants to tackle this incredible course. You can expect frequent, well-stocked aid stations approximately every 5 to 8 miles to keep you fueled and supported throughout the race. www.runsignup.com/Race/MI/Petoskey/WolverineState100
