There’s no set course, only the raw beauty of Colorado’s backcountry and the strategy your team brings to the race. Stay together, choose your route wisely, and decide whether to chase high-value checkpoints deep in the mountains or rack up points with closer, faster finds. The terrain is unpredictable, the clock is ticking, and teamwork is everything. Self-sufficiency is key. Your team must carry all necessary supplies, and adapt to changing conditions. Gentle Grizzly is a 3-hour course with 5 checkpoints. Although checkpoints are spread out, they are located close to the start.
