Chikmagalur, Karnataka (India) - "Tekion Malnad Ultra". The Malnad Ultra is mostly a trail run through some of the most enchanting and exciting terrain that you can imagine for a run. It is designed to provide the next level experience for marathoners who have got bored of the usual city runs and want to graduate to the next level. The course is laid out in the heartland of Indian coffee in the Malnad region of Karnataka at elevations from 3000 to 4500 feet. In a way, The Malnad Ultra is not designed as a race per se. We think that the runners will take time for selfies, listen to the leaves rustle, the cicadas chirp and the birds sing. Massive jungle trees, thousands of silver oak trees and endless coffee plantations will catch your attention. With some luck, you will sight small wildlife like monkeys, porcupines, peacock, hares, giant squirrels, civet cats and snakes.
