This famous race is the curtain raiser for the ultra running season and the starting point for those brave Go Beyond runners wishing to take on our Grand Slam of four ultra marathons over 180 grueling miles. Country to Capital takes you through the Buckinghamshire countryside, crossing the M25—by bridge, of course!—and heading towards the well-heeled surroundings of Denham. From there, runners pick up the Grand Union Canal towpath for the final run into London, finishing near the Little Venice canal basin, a surprisingly tranquil setting in the heart of the capital and close to both Paddington and Royal Oak Tube stations. The race concludes at The Stowe Centre, where you can enjoy showers, toilets, and a large hall to relax in after finishing. Corpus Christi, Texas (United States of America) - "Outlast Gulf of America". Outlast is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you outlast. 4 laps = Bronze “Grit Earned” leather patch, 5 laps = Silver “Survivor” leather patch, 6 laps = Premium “Outlast” wooden medal. All participants receive an Outlast tee and sticker. The top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place Outlast award. Khon Kaen (Thailand) - "Khon Kaen International Marathon (KKIM)". In 2004 was the 40th anniversary of Khon Kaen University. The Khon Kaen University board launched the international marathon to celebrate the anniversary of the institution. The following year, the "Khon Kaen International Marathon" became a mass sport event in the Khon Kaen province, with the cooperation of the Panjmit Group.
