Dousman, Wisconsin (United States of America) - "Prickly Pine Jackpot 24 Hour Solo/Relay". Looking for a long-distance challenge or a 12-hour training run for an upcoming 100-miler? Join us for the Prickly Pine 24-Hour Solo/Relay race in the beautiful Kettle Moraine State Forest! With a variety of time options—6-hour, 12-hour, 24-hour, and a 4-person 24-hour relay—you can choose the challenge that suits you. Not a fan of repeating the same loop? We’ve got you covered with three unique loops: Loop #1 (3 miles), Loop #2 (6 miles), and Loop #3 (9 miles). You decide which loop to tackle each time, and every completed loop counts toward your total mileage! Jackpot prizes are awarded to the top five finishers in the solo event and the top team in the relay, with 25% of each 24-hour solo participant and relay team registration fee added to the respective jackpot. Solo competitors' placement is determined by the total miles of completed loops, with ties resulting in combined and evenly split prize money. The relay jackpot is awarded to the winning team, and in the event of a tie, each team selects one runner to compete in a final, winner-takes-all lap on the 3-mile loop. The course showcases the stunning pinewoods of the Southern Kettle Moraine Forest and the Ice Age Trail, taking runners through loops that explore every section of the Scuppernong Trails, including some of the highest elevations on the Kettle course. The 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour solo and relay races start at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. Race swag varies by event, with all participants receiving a finisher medal, and additional items such as a 24 oz easy squeeze sports bottle, cooling towel, duffle bag, and belt buckles for runners who complete over 50 or 100 miles. A Wisconsin State Forest parking pass is required, and the first 30 24-hour solo and relay racers to register will have a reserved 12'x12' gear drop spot near the start/finish line. A designated camping area near the start/finish line is available at no charge for 24-hour solo and relay racers, with additional camping available at Pinewoods Campground.
