Phoenix, Arizona (United States of America) - "Gastro Dash at Arizona Falls Canal". Niccole Branson, an Arizona native and Chandler resident, is raising awareness, community, and support for stomach cancer through the first inaugural Gastro Dash, the first stomach cancer awareness race to be held nationwide. In 2021, Branson was diagnosed with Stage 3 stomach cancer at 37 years old. She had no family history and no warning beyond some vague symptoms. Since that original diagnosis, she has fought and beaten it twice. Throughout her journey, she has undergone extensive surgeries including the removal of 80% her stomach, her gallbladder, spleen, uterus, two feet of her colon, and had a total hysterectomy. In addition, she has undergone chemotherapy, radiation, multiple HIPEC procedures, and is currently receiving ongoing immunotherapy. Despite these challenges, she continues to face life with a smile and a fierce determination, living by her motto: "I'm not done yet!" During her journey, Branson discovered that many people battling cancer often struggle to find resources, guidance, and support, especially when it comes to stomach cancer. That changed when she found Debbie's Dream Foundation, a nationwide 501(c)(3) organization providing trusted education, advocacy, and community for those affected by the disease. Inspired by her experience, Branson has made it her mission to help others navigate their cancer journey by offering both educational and emotional support to empower patients to ask the right questions to get answers and the care they deserve. With stomach cancer diagnoses increasing worldwide, Branson continues to face challenges and turn them into purpose! Nicci is actively sharing her journey to raise awareness, spread hope, and lift others up. The Gastro Dash in Phoenix, Arizona, marks the beginning of a nationwide movement to bring greater visibility, research funding, and resources to stomach cancer patients and their families. "I started this 'Dash' - walk, run, jog, or ruck - to raise awareness, funds, and advocacy for stomach cancer patients and supporters," says Branson. "I've loved being there for people and helping them navigate their own cancer road. I'll continue to advocate for education, information, and research!" Join Niccole and the community at the Gastro Dash, happening at Arizona Falls on November 1, 2025. Race starts at 8 a.m. - all are welcome! Follow-up on FB and IG at @GastroDash. https://go.evvnt.com/3317281-0?pid=6562
